337277_10151018470052443_1317271448_oMany fans and frequent listeners of top chillout and lounge compilations may have come across the name ‘Sambox’ fairly often along the way.

Indeed, the top French producer of lounge and chillout music is in-fact, a well established name in those genres. Starting his musical path with studies of classical music, eventually his musical pursuit would lean towards the chilling beats of electronica; a move that proved to be an absolute success.

In a career that spans a decade, his unique style of lounge and chillout music has reached audiences worldwide, with a skill able to move to the territories of Deep house and beyond, including multiple TV projects. As well, his creations have been featured in over 50 compilations of global reach such as Buddhattitude, Café Solaire, Dubai Eklektic, Obsession Lounge, Ministry of Sound, Café Abstrait, and many… many more!

The musical journey of this top-producer continues with the release of his latest creation, ‘La Parisienne’, an 11-track release that promises a sophisticated delivery of sultry lounge beats, able to capture the ‘Joie de Vivre’ so famous of the Parisian lifestyle; and of course to continue to please listeners far and wide.

Blissful Beats got to be in touch with the mastermind himself prior the anticipated release of his latest work!

Sambox, many thanks for granting this interview!

Your upcoming album is called “La Parisienne”. Were Parisian women your main source of inspiration for this album, and/or what else inspired you?

Absolutely, women and the feminine universe are my main source of inspiration for my music, it was natural for me to pay tribute to women and especially our beautiful city of Paris.

How do you feel this album is different from your previous releases ?

This new album is a continuation of my two previous album “7ème Arrondissement ” and “Love Feelings” that is always in the mind lounge, chillout, downtempo.

What was your favorite part of the process of creating this album ?

All steps are important to me when I made an album. The composition and mixing are one of my favorite parts but also stock selection and choice of cover.

What are your personal favorite tracks and why ?

“Hatchway For You” is one of my favorite songs, whenever I replay I am very happy because it gives me good vibes.

“Supermen” is also one of my favorite songs because I’m happy with the groove it brings, it is a call to the good mood.

“Night Pleasure (glamour mix)” is an ancient title that I retouched from 2007 and that was on my first album “Deep Feelings”, I brought a touch of sensitivity that I have not able to pass the first time.

Will you have any interesting upcoming projects and/or events coming anytime soon ?

Many projects are under way or planned. The CD compilation “Café Solaire 22” released last month in the Soulstar label with two of my tracks “Perfection is This World” & “Break Drink (blues mix). Also at Soulstar, the CD compilation “Obsession Lounge 8” mixed by DJ Jondal available the 11/14/2014 with my title “Hatchway For You”

Other projects are coming compilation CD but it is too early to tell.

Finally latest news, my track “Smooth Jazz” just to be licensed for the next film Sebastian Silva “Nasty Baby” with Kristen Wiig, some info about the film: http://www.funny-balloons.com/fbcannes14.pdf
